Emissions reduction targets
To facilitate our progress toward net zero emissions, we have established the following carbon reduction targets:
· Move energy contracts to an energy firm that prioritizes clean and renewable energy
· Introduce solar panels to supply clean and renewable energy for our main office.
· All company-supplied vehicles will be EV or LEV
· Encourage and endorse green-emission schemes for our employees such as cycle-to-work, car sharing, and public transport.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 25000 kgCO2e by 2027. This represents a significant reduction of 52.18%.
Carbon Reduction Projects Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
The following environmental management measures and projects have been implemented since the 2023 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved through these initiatives equals an estimated 22947.52 tCO2e, marking a 43.6% reduction towards our 2023 baseline. These measures are actively upheld during all contracts.
Data Cabling Limited has maintained ISO 14001 certification for several years and has launched various projects to initiate our reduction of carbon emissions and strive for our goal of 100% carbon neutrality.
Such projects include transitioning our company vehicles to fully electric, upgrading air conditioning systems, replacing all lighting with energy-efficient LED, enhancing insulation in the office, and substituting old boilers with efficient replacements.
In the future, we aim to adopt further measures such as:
· Implementing solar panels at our office
· Transitioning to energy contracts that focus on clean and renewable energy
· Establishing a tree-planting scheme alongside our customers to help offset our carbon footprint
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been compiled in compliance with PPN 06/21 and relevant guidance and reporting standards for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported consistently with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard, utilizing the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in line with SECR requirements, and the requisite subset of Scope 3 emissions has been reported according to the published standards for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and endorsed by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
